On the 22 and 23 of September 2020 was the European Logistics Innovation Day (ELID), an international and virtual online conference organised by startport and ZENIT. The goal of the online event was to connect startups, corporations and investors. The logistics industry is affected by digitalisation and automation. The new circumstances need new ideas for improvement. This is exactly what can be achieved in the cooperation of innovators.
The event hosted about 300 participants out of 35 different countries from all over the world.
Generally, the event was divided into two parts. In the first half presentations and pitches were given. Representers of corporates and venture capital talked about the current innovations of logistics and about the great cooperations between startups and corporates. To showcase these success stories, best practices between start-ups and corporates were presented.
So idea-ly got the chance to present their cooperation with Borussia Dortmund. The Co-Founder of idea-ly Niklas Schwichtenberg and the Head of Digital of Borussia Dortmund Simon Mayr talked about the involvement of Borussia Dortmund’s fan community in the generation of ideas for the club.
The software was adapted to the customer (BVB) and visualized for the audience. The BVB was looking for a software that is easy to implement and easy to use. Idea-ly was able to prove how easy it is to submit an idea with idea-ly. The software is integrated into the app/ website of the customer, so that the idea owners can quickly enter their ideas. The positive effects for the BVB: the ideas will be sorted and categorized for the corporates, so that the processing can be done quickly.
The second part was the 1:1 live Matchmaking, where the startups, corporations and investors could connect with each other.
